• Account information: Phone number, email address, and business name provided during registration
• Business data: Services, pricing, availability, and business settings you configure
• Customer data: Phone numbers, names, and message content from SMS, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram DM conversations handled by the Service
• Booking data: Appointment details including dates, times, services, and customer information
• Payment information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
• Usage data: Log data, device information, and how you interact with the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process SMS, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram DM conversations and manage bookings on your behalf
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send service-related communications (not marketing)
• Monitor and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Messaging and Consent

Customers consent to receive automated messages related to appointment scheduling, booking confirmations, reminders, and general business communication through the following actions:

• SMS: By texting a Svenn-assigned business number, customers consent to receive automated SMS messages.
• Facebook Messenger: By initiating a conversation with a business's Facebook Page through Messenger, customers consent to receive automated responses and booking-related messages. When a customer provides their phone number during a Messenger conversation, they also consent to receive SMS appointment reminders at that number.
• Instagram DMs: By sending a Direct Message to a business's Instagram account, customers consent to receive automated responses and booking-related messages. When a customer provides their phone number during an Instagram conversation, they also consent to receive SMS appointment reminders at that number.

We do not send marketing or promotional messages to end users on any channel.

Opt-out: Customers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. For Messenger and Instagram, customers may stop receiving messages by blocking or muting the conversation. Once opted out, no further messages will be sent unless the customer re-initiates contact.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on booking activity and customer interactions.

Message and data rates may apply for SMS messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We will not share your opt-in consent or mobile information with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Customer data collected through any messaging channel is used solely to provide the Service as described above.

4. AI Processing

Customer messages are processed by AI systems to understand intent and generate responses. This processing is performed solely to provide the Service. We do not use your customer conversations to train AI models for other purposes.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate (e.g., Twilio for SMS, Meta for Messenger and Instagram messaging, Stripe for payments, Google Cloud for hosting, OpenAI for AI processing)
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
